Today Emma, my sweet English Springer Spaniel, turned two. She is the reason this blog started, and her presence in my life saved it in more ways than one. I have not been posting as much recently due to working on a book proposal and writing cover letters for a living! I promise to be back writing on a more weekly basis in the new year. One friend commented that she looks as though she is tolerating the humans who insist on putting on the stupid antlers. I agree! Boyfriend took some great shots of her this last weekend, including this one.

I think of you often. You helped me survive the loss of my beloved John. We sat in my kitchen and spoke for hours. Every now and then i read the copy of the memorial you did at his services. I will never forget you. Be well
